Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team is looking for a reliable and meticulous Full-Time Pharmacy Technician. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing patient intake, and provide excellent customer service to our patients.
Duties
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.
- Assist with medication intake processes, verifying prescriptions and ensuring proper documentation for patient records.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, explaining medication instructions, and supporting medication adherence.
- Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals according to safety standards.
- Enter and process prescription orders accurately in the system
- Handle insurance claims, prior authorizations, and rejections
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and expiration checks
- Provide courteous and professional customer service
- Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations
- Support daily pharmacy workflow and administrative tasks
Requirements
- Proven pharmacy technician experience with a focus on LTC pharmacy preferred.
- Certification as a pharmacy technician in accordance with state or national regulations is preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
