IT Support Specialist – McGrath Electric, Inc. (Fairfield, CA)

About the Role:
As our IT Support Specialist, you’ll be the first line of support for our staff, ensuring our technology runs smoothly and securely. You’ll manage workstations, networks, Office 365, hardware repairs, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and configure new workstations, phones, and network access for new hires
- Track, report, and assign all computer hardware and phones
- Perform clean Windows installations and apply group policy settings
- Manage Active Directory (users, security groups, computers)
- Configure item-level targeting and shared folder mapping
- Administer Remote Desktop Servers, company domain, and websites
- Manage and configure Office 365 (Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Admin Console)
- Intermediate hardware repair, including some server maintenance
- Maintain and update the MEI website and create social media posts
- Ensure all office computers are connected to main printers and coordinate service with vendors
- Support office security systems, cameras, and audio/video systems, misc office maintenance
- Set up IT equipment in the field as needed
- Purchase IT equipment
- Remain flexible, accountable, and ready to learn new things in a dynamic environment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Troubleshooting skills for computer systems
- Network troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Active Directory and Office 365 administration
- Intermediate computer hardware repair skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Professional, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Experience with website and social media management is a plus
