Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Painting General Superintendent to lead and oversee commercial and industrial painting projects from start to finish. This pivotal role involves managing on-site operations, supervising teams, ensuring safety compliance, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive management style, a thorough understanding of construction processes, and a passion for driving project success through effective leadership and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Hire and manage day-to-day scheduling of field painters.
- Lead and supervise all painting activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless workflow and resolve issues promptly.
- Oversee daily site operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, quality control, and safety compliance in accordance with OSHA regulations.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify accuracy and facilitate effective execution.
- Utilize construction management software such as Planswift, ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, or similar tools for project scheduling, tracking progress, and documenting site activities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met and that work aligns with contractual requirements and specifications.
- Supervise and mentor site personnel and subcontractors to foster a productive team environment focused on safety and excellence.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project progress, change orders, contracts, safety incidents, and quality control reports.
- Proven experience in painting and construction management with a strong background in supervising large-scale projects.
- Extensive on-site construction experience with a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating processes.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards along with the ability to enforce safety protocols effectively on-site.
- Demonstrated management skills with the ability to lead teams efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality control.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
