McGovern MHQ is looking for a talented, hands-on Graphic Designer & Vehicle Wrap Installer to join our team at our Marlborough, Massachusetts location.

This is not a traditional desk-only graphic design position. We are looking for someone who can take a project from concept and design through printing, production, and final installation.

McGovern MHQ specializes in police, fire, emergency response, municipal, commercial, and specialty fleet vehicles. This position will play an important role in producing the graphics, lettering, striping, identification, and branding that complete these vehicles.

The ideal candidate has experience with graphic design, large-format printing, vinyl production, vehicle graphics, signage, and installation. Experience specifically within the emergency vehicle industry is a plus, but not required.

What You’ll Do

As our Graphic Designer & Vehicle Wrap Installer, you will be responsible for managing graphics projects from initial design through finished installation, including:

• Design vehicle graphics, lettering, striping, logos, decals, and other custom graphics
• Create professional layouts based on customer specifications, vehicle templates, existing designs, and branding requirements
• Prepare production-ready artwork for printing, cutting, and installation
• Operate large-format printers, vinyl cutters/plotters, laminators, and related graphics equipment
• Print, laminate, weed, mask, trim, and prepare vinyl graphics for installation
• Install vinyl lettering, decals, striping, partial wraps, and full vehicle graphics
• Accurately position and install graphics on cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, vans, and specialty vehicles
• Reproduce or modify existing vehicle graphics when necessary
• Perform color matching and maintain consistency across vehicle fleets
• Inspect completed graphics and installations for accuracy, alignment, adhesion, and overall quality
• Maintain organized digital artwork, templates, customer files, and production records
• Maintain graphics equipment, materials, vinyl inventory, and a clean, organized work area
• Coordinate with our sales and production teams to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule
• Assist with other company graphics, signage, banners, promotional materials, and branding projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who combines strong design skills with hands-on production and installation ability.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience with Omega, Adobe Suite, and/or similar professional design software
• Experience designing vehicle graphics, wraps, signage, decals, or large-format graphics
• Experience operating large-format printers and vinyl cutting equipment
• Experience installing vinyl graphics, vehicle lettering, striping, or wraps
• Understanding of vector artwork, print files, resolution, bleed, color profiles, and production setup
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately measure and position graphics
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, sales staff, and production personnel
• Ability to work carefully around new and customer-owned vehicles
• Valid driver's license

Experience with 3M, Avery Dennison, or similar automotive vinyl products is a plus.

Experience with police, fire, municipal, commercial fleet, motorsports, automotive, or specialty vehicle graphics is also a plus.
