ITS Systems Engineer Exempt

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for the coordination, management, and design of the firm’s infrastructure and infrastructure resources
2. Manage Local and Wide Area Network
3. Manage Microsoft Exchange and SQL Server
4. Manage Windows Server environment
5. Maintain VMware Virtual Infrastructure
6. Maintain shared storage infrastructure
7. Manage and maintain layer 2 and layer 3 devices
8. Manage and maintain Firewalls
9. Manage and maintain Enterprise WWAN
10. Actively monitor and maintain all aspects of Active Directory
11. Actively monitor backups and maintain network monitoring system
12. Provide Tier 3 support to Tier 1 and Tier 2 team members
13. Participate in various projects as assigned
14. Maintain documentation of all infrastructure systems and actively contribute to knowledge base
15. Maintain and refine processes and procedures
16. Work with management and other team members on various projects as required
17. Provide outstanding customer service to our business and end users

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT related field and 5 years of experience in a Systems Engineer position.
2. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
3. Strong organization skills
4. Present professional appearance, possess excellent work ethic and attitude
5. Ability to operate in a fast paced, changing environment
6. Ability to lead by example, work individually and within a team environment
7. Communicate and explain technical issues to non-technical customers
8. Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills and knowledge of industry tools used to diagnose and resolve server, network, infrastructure issues
9. Expert knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
10. Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and implementation. This includes knowledge of Microsoft and VMware replication technologies.
11. In depth knowledge of IBM Server hardware, Synology, HP ALLETRA SANs,
12. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Online and Exchange 2019
13. In depth knowledge of VMware ESX and ESXi including licensing and patching
14. Knowledge of PowerShell and other scripting tools is a huge plus
15. Working knowledge of remote connectivity technologies such as Citrix Access Gateway, certificates and VPNs
16. Knowledge of HP Procurve layer 2 and layer 3 devices
17. Law firm or professional services industry experience a plus
