We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless computer operations, and delivering outstanding technical support across the organization. Your expertise will help keep our systems secure, efficient, and responsive to the needs of our attorneys and staff.

Duties:

  • Provide in person and remote technical support for hardware and software issues across all company devices and systems through email, phone, and web-based platforms
  • Accept, review and act on help desk tickets and troubleshoot software problems and perform necessary repairs or updates to ensure optimal performance
  • Manage computer hardware including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, perform inventory management, and anticipate and report cost of replacing or updating technology items
  • Assist with desktop support tasks, including operating system (Windows) installations, software and hardware deployment, resetting passwords, adjusting key settings, and user account management
  • Train new users on firm systems and software or repair processes
  • Support IT infrastructure by configuring network devices like switches and routers; monitor network performance; troubleshoot connectivity issues
  • Implement security measures and monitor security certificates and company compliance of requirements
  • Maintain and support computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, firewalls, and network security tools like Meraki appliances
  • Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server environments, Linux systems, and utilize management tools such as SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Kaseya Management tools

Experience:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience providing IT support in a fast-paced environment with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems, including Windows (Windows 10/11), macOS, and Linux distributions, and software installation and configuration processes
  • Experience with Windows Domain Administration, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange Administration, NetDocuments, Juris, Microsoft SQL preferred
  • Hands-on experience with computer networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN management, VPN setup, firewall configuration, and network security best practices
  • Understanding of network administration, including protocols and IP addressing
  • Familiarity with managing computer hardware components and peripherals; experience with mobile device support is a plus
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues related to Microsoft Office applications and other common enterprise software tools
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems; ability to analyze issues effectively using analysis skills
  • Knowledge of Active Directory management, Windows Server administration, DNS configuration, TCP/IP troubleshooting, and network administration techniques
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to simplify technical language into easy-to-understand phrasing
  • Patience and empathy when helping users
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
