McGinnis Lochridge is seeking an ambitious associate with three to five years of complex commercial litigation experience to join our busy litigation team in Houston. This is a great opportunity for an experienced associate who is interested in leveling up their development through hands-on mentorship, collaboration, and increased responsibility on a diverse range of matters in a partnership-track position. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and academic credentials are required. Candidates must be admitted to practice in Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
Our Houston office is seeking an associate who can jump in and assist with all aspects of litigation on a wide range of complex commercial matters in both state and federal courts. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking the lead on drafting pleadings and motions, counseling clients, working with expert witnesses and opposing counsel, taking and defending depositions, appearing in court, and assisting in the supervision and mentorship of more junior associates. The associate will also participate in firm activities and training and development opportunities.

Our Houston office is located in the heart of downtown. Our litigation practice group is collaborative. Practice group members sit in our Austin, Houston, and Dallas offices so associates may have the opportunity to visit and work with attorneys in other offices.
