Project Manager Job Summary:

The Project Manager will oversee, organize, manage, and plan industrial and commercial electrical projects from start to finish.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees Electricians and Sub-Contractors to ensure projects are completed on time meet all specifications and quality standards. Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Provides leadership in the initial planning stage by collaborating with clients, engineers and Company Management to develop detailed descriptions of jobs and materials necessary to complete projects. Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budget the time necessary to meet each deadline.

· Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.

· Interact with the clients on a timely basis, through phone, email and in person.

· Plans, coordinates, organizes, overseas and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities and systems.

· Leads crews to complete assigned projects on time, to specifications, with accuracy, efficiency and in accordance with NEC.

· Outline the tasks involved in the project and delegate accordingly.

· Conduct risk assessments; identified risks to management; provide recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).

· Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.

· Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.

· Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, client managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons and Sub-Contractors.

· Assist in the hiring, terminating and evaluating of company employees.

· Must be on-call to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.

· Project Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Must be able to understand industrial control schematics and commercial electrical drawings.

· Must be able to layout conduits and wiring for industrial and commercial projects

· Must be able to size conduit and wiring

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong supervisory and leadership skills

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

· Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

· At least ten years of electrical construction experience required.

· Supervisory Experience is necessary.

· Strong understanding of machinery wiring, controls, including process controls and field devices.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of job sites in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching.

· Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.

· Ability to possess a valid driver's license to visit construction sites.
