The Role
We need an experienced Concrete Estimator who can own takeoffs and pricing from start to finish. This isn't a support role — you'll be running quantities, building bids, and putting numbers in front of GCs you'll come to know by name. The goal is straightforward: take full ownership of the estimating process so the business can keep scaling.
You'll work directly with ownership and our project managers, and you'll have real influence over which jobs we chase and how we win them.
What You'll Do
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for tilt-up, slab-on-grade and foundations scopes.
- Build complete, competitive bids — concrete, rebar, formwork, labor, and equipment
- Read and interpret structural drawings, specs, and geotechnical reports
- Develop and maintain unit pricing and historical cost data
- Coordinate with GCs, suppliers, and pump/equipment vendors on scope and pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering opportunities before they become problems
- Manage bid schedules and hit deadlines without dropping accuracy
What You Bring
- 5 years estimating commercial/industrial concrete (tilt-up experience strongly preferred)
- Strong command of takeoff and estimating software, plus solid Excel skills
- Ability to read structural drawings and specs and translate them into accurate quantities
- Sharp attention to detail and a track record of bids that hold up in the field
- Self-directed work ethic — you can run your own pipeline without being chased
- Direct, no-fluff communicator who works well with a tight team
