Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

What You'll Do
As a 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician I, you'll support the maintenance team by assisting with repairs, inspections, and general maintenance activities throughout our compost and soil production facility.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with maintenance and repairs on conveyors, screens, pumps, motors, and production equipment
Support senior technicians during troubleshooting and equipment repairs
Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks and inspections
Maintain organization of tools, parts, and maintenance work areas
Identify and report equipment issues, breakdowns, and safety concerns
Assist with facility maintenance projects and equipment improvements
Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
Learn mechanical systems, maintenance processes, and equipment operation
Support continuous production by helping minimize equipment downtime
Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Mechanical aptitude and interest in hands-on work
Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
Reliable attendance and dependable transportation
Preferred Experience
General labor, maintenance, construction, manufacturing, landscaping, farming, or industrial experience
Experience using power tools, hand tools, or mechanical equipment
Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices
No extensive maintenance experience required. We will train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow.
Work Environment
This is not a desk job.
You'll work around:
Heavy equipment and industrial machinery
Conveyors and processing equipment
Dust, dirt, mud, and outdoor conditions
Compost, mulch, soil, and organic materials
Loud industrial environments
You must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
Physical Requirements
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Stand and walk for extended periods
Bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and work on uneven terrain
Use hand and power tools safely
Perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment
