Responsibilities
- Master planning through detailed design activities as both a project manager and project contributor.
- Mentoring and technical oversight of junior and mid-level staff.
- Business development activities including but not limited to networking, preparation of proposals, interviewing, and negotiating fees.
- Preparation/review of deliverables including reports, cost estimates, renderings, plans and specifications.
- Miscellaneous tasks as required to assist the project team.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Serves on Committees and Teams as requested by management.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or master’s in landscape architecture from an accredited University or College.
- 5-8 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect including experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types.
- Registration as a Landscape Architect is required.
- Ability to lead presentations in both public and private settings. Experience with leading projects through a design review, entitlement or other similar public approval process is highly desired.
- Demonstrated experience with industry software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Design Suite, and all Microsoft Office programs).
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Some travel will be required to undertake the job duties described above. Travel may be planned or on an immediate basis and the candidate will need to be flexible in meeting project deadlines.
- Land and site planning design experience highly preferred
- Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills; aptitude for detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
