Job Description
Maintains, constructs, troubleshoots, repairs and operates a high voltage power distribution network and electrical equipment and systems. Performs the required operations and maintenance of a large and complex water treatment network that operates 24 hours per day and 7 days per week. Complies with local, state, and federal permit requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Position requires technical competence in industrial and/or wastewater treatment systems operations and maintenance; ability to exercise professional judgment; as well as excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Completion of high school or vocational technical school in the building trades and 1-3 years experience in industrial and/or wastewater treatment systems operations & maintenance preferred.
- 10 plus years of electrical experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Steel welding and HDPE pipe fusing experience is desired.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Must possess an Arkansas master's electrician license with high voltage and line work.
- Must possess an Arkansas Industrial Wastewater Operator License and Commercial Driver License (CDL) License within one (1) year of employment and maintain licensure for the duration of employment in this position. Training compensation may or may not be the responsibility of McGeorge Contracting.
- This position is designated as "safety sensitive" under Arkansas Act 593 of 2017; pre-employment and random drug testing are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs operations and maintenance activities at project sites under the direction of Project Manager, including electrical and wastewater treatment maintenance and repair, trouble shooting problems, pickup and delivery of equipment, and general site/property maintenance.
- General working hours are 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday. Occasional weekends, holiday, or on call work will be needed.
