Qualifications

  • Strong architectural documentation skills, including experience preparing construction drawings, details, and specifications for commercial or mixed-use projects.
  • Proficiency with relevant design and production software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and basic Adobe tools) and the ability to learn firm-specific systems and standards.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, ADA requirements, and permitting processes, with the ability to apply them to project documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal project teams, including managing information, deadlines, and responses to comments.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet project schedules, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field; progress toward architectural licensure or professional registration is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an architectural firm, ideally in a Job Captain or intermediate project role on commercial, retail, or mixed-use projects.
  • Ability to work on-site in Denver, collaborate effectively in a team setting, and support a culture of continuous learning and inclusive professional practice.


The ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years of professional experience, strong Revit proficiency, and the ability to coordinate project documentation from design through construction. This position plays a key role in project delivery by leading production efforts, coordinating consultants, maintaining project information, and supporting Project Architects and Project Managers throughout all phases of work.

Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Review assigned projects and develop efficient production strategies to maximize resources and maintain project schedules.
  • Obtain and coordinate project information from clients, consultants, and internal team members.
  • Plan drawing sets, details, schedules, and project deliverables.
  • Assist in scheduling project tasks and coordinating work among team members.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate schedule or staffing concerns to project leadership.

Production & Technical Documentation

  • Prepare and coordinate construction documents utilizing Revit and BIM workflows.
  • Produce drawings, details, schedules, and specifications with a high level of technical accuracy and quality.
  • Implement and maintain firm drafting, BIM, and documentation standards.
  • Monitor project hours and production efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolve technical and coordination issues in collaboration with project leadership.
  • Prepare addenda, bulletins, and supplemental project documentation.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Facilitate communication between disciplines to ensure complete and coordinated construction documents.
  • Participate in project meetings, consultant coordination meetings, and client presentations as required.
  • Review and process shop drawings and submittals.
  • Conduct construction site observations and assist with construction administration activities.

Quality Assurance

  • Perform quality-control reviews of project documents.
  • Review drawings and specifications for completeness, accuracy, and interdisciplinary coordination.
  • Assist in maintaining firm standards for document production and project delivery.
  • Support project leadership in identifying and resolving quality concerns before document issuance.

Leadership & Mentorship

  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced team members.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to staff development.
  • Share technical knowledge, Revit best practices, and project experience with colleagues.
  • Promote continuous improvement and professional growth within the studio.

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or a related field.
  • Approximately 4 years of professional architectural experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit required.
  • Experience producing and coordinating construction documents.
  • Understanding of building systems, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project schedules.
  • Progress toward architectural licensure is preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $75,000–$95,000, commensurate with experience.
