What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Food Runner position at McFaul's IronHorse Tavern?
McFaul's IronHorse Tavern is a locally owned and sustainably sourced Irish-American tavern, nestled within the forest of Cromwell Valley Park and the Loch Raven Reservoir.

BUSSER:
Ensures guests are seated at a clean and properly set table within the shortest amount of time possible. Bussers maintain cleanliness of all spaces within the restaurant and including the perimeter of the building and parking lots. They also work with Servers and Host/Hostesses to ensure guests receive excellent service and feel welcomed!
Specific responsibilities of the Busser include:
-Promptly cleans and resets tables after each guest's departure.
-Offers assistance to guests by clearing away dishes and glassware, and refills beverages.
-Assists with Guest needs as they arise, including but not limited to the below mentioned cleaning expectations:
*Checks cleanliness of the buss and from previous shift and notifies Manager of any problems. Sets up the buss and, restocks and prepares buss and for shift change and/or close.
*Checks high chairs and booster seats for cleanliness when resetting tables.
*Cleans and sanitizes throughout the shift, including taking out trash as needed.
-Must be able to read menu items
-Must be able to clearly communicate guest needs to other Team Members (Servers, Bartender or Manager)
-Must be able to lift and carry sacks, cases, and bus tubs of up to 70 lbs, up to 20 times per shift; places these items on high shelves
-Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe frequently
-Must be able to stand and walk during entire shift
-Tipped position

FOOD RUNNER
The runner position generally works alongside the kitchen staff members, primarily the expo in order to prepare plating dishes prior to the plates going out to guests. The food runner is responsible for ensuring that plates are clean, tidy, neatly presented, and look consistent with the chef's plating style and food quality expectations. The runner also helps stock/restock food prep items in the kitchen for plating purposes (sauces, butters, chopped herbs, serving ware, etc).

Pay: $5.00 - $16.00 per hour
