Specific Job Responsibilities
- Visit sites and perform site audits for crews.
- Manage all activities involving maintenance services, including the coordination of all materials, people and equipment required to produce a quality job.
- Communicate with Operations Manager to schedule upcoming work or site issues.
- Lead new hire on-boarding and training program as well as continued training for current crew members.
- Review crews’ weekly schedules, providing direction and goals to be accomplished
- Provide hands on training and support of crew personnel in areas such as proper operation of equipment, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
- Assist with weekly safety meetings and monitor safety record of crews and minimize accidents to personnel and equipment.
- Instruct and supervise truck and equipment audits by foreman and crew
- Responsible for coordinating with Mechanic for proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use, and training required for branch equipment.
- Implement and enforce policies and procedures as issued by management.
Qualifications
- Desire 3 years’ experience in supervising landscape crews
- Degree or certification in Landscape/Horticulture preferred
- Knowledge of Ornamental Plant, Turf, and Commercial Power Equipment
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Team orientation
- Prepared to lead by example, roll up the sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not necessary
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
