Residential Landscape Designer
Overview:
Creative and detail-oriented Residential Landscape Designer with a passion for transforming outdoor spaces into functional, aesthetic environments. Skilled in conceptual design, plant selection, and project coordination, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and sustainable design principles. Works collaboratively with project managers, installation teams, and clients to bring design visions to life from concept through completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients to assess property needs, discuss design goals, and develop customized landscape concepts.
- Create detailed landscape plans, renderings, and plant schedules using AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design software.
- Select appropriate plant materials, hardscape elements, and sustainable features based on site conditions and regional climate.
- Collaborate with construction and maintenance teams to ensure design intent is accurately executed on-site.
- Prepare cost estimates, design proposals, and presentations for client approval.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget parameters.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, layout verification, and project follow-up.
- Stay current on landscape trends, plant varieties, and local zoning or permitting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Environmental Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or Lumion preferred.
- Strong knowledge of horticulture, hardscape materials, and irrigation systems.
- Excellent communication and client presentation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple design projects and meet deadlines.
