Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible teachers to lead and support children in daily activities. Teachers will serve as positive role models while ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children in an energetic, indoor/outdoor, and team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, including arts & crafts, sports, outdoor adventures, and team-building exercises.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe, respected, and encouraged.
- Lead and participate in games, songs, and classroom activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by following McFarlin & DHS policies and procedures.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and providing guidance to children as needed.
- Communicate effectively with fellow teachers, children, and parents.
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and transitions between activities.
- Act as a role model by demonstrating positive behavior and enthusiasm.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary (training provided).
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Previous experience working with children (babysitting, tutoring, coaching, or prior camp experience) is preferred but not required.
- Energetic, responsible, and patient with a passion for youth development.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and take initiative when needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
Job Type: Part-time (2:20 pm - 5:30 pm; School breaks 7:50 am - 5:30 pm)
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
