What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech Language Pathologist position at McFarland Unified School District?
Serves as a member of the multi-disciplinary assessment team in evaluating children for eligibility for speech-language services, which includes conducting speech-language assessments, holding or taking part in initial, annual and triennial IEP meetings, writing speech-language goals and objectives and assessment reports, and maintining appropriate records. Works in diverse multi-cultural education settings with students in all grade levels and with a variety of capablities. Provides speech-language therapy services to children identified as being qualified for such services, including but not limited to language development and articulation therapy. Consults with teachers and parents on appropriate speech-language strategies to be used with children needing services. Attends school site and district level staff meetings and staff development activities, as requested. Performs other duties as assigned.
