What You’ll Do
As our Parts Manager, you will play a key leadership role in dealership operations:
- Lead and manage all aspects of the parts department (retail & wholesale)
- Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department and drive performance
- Hire, train, coach, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
- Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of service, body shop, and other departments
- Partner closely with the Service Manager and Body Shop Manager to ensure timely parts availability
- Create and maintain pricing guidelines for various customer categories
- Monitor and adjust inventory; supervise stock order procedures
- Guarantee all parts are properly tagged and organized
- Provide technical assistance to team members and customers when necessary
- Monitor expenses and department profitability
- Develop and enforce customer service guidelines to ensure maximum satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and legal regulations
- Promote and enforce safety standards and company values
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will bring:
- At least 2–4 years of experience in a dealership parts department, with management experience preferred
- Knowledge of AutoMate DMS or similar dealer management systems
- Strong technical automotive knowledge
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop a team
- Solid understanding of inventory management, reporting, and the financial impact of overstocking
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Computer literacy and proficiency with relevant software
- Sales experience is a plus
- Professional attitude and appearance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
