What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Analyst (FT) | Telecommunications | Ames | 2025-260 position at McFarland Clinic, P.C.?
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP systems and related hardware/software.
- Apply system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Diagnose and resolve call quality issues, connectivity problems, and system errors.
- Implement and maintain security protocols for voice systems; ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Maintain accurate records of configurations, changes and maintenance activities.
- Work closely with the infrastructure team to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Education
- Associate's Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Days: Monday - Friday, with occasional evening or weekend, plus on call rotation
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience
- Unix Knowledge beneficial
- 3 years telecommunication experience
- SIP, SBC and Voice Gateway experience
- Structural Cabling (CAT5 and 6)
- Strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication, and collaborative mindset
