Job Title: Dishwasher/Cleaner
Location: McFarlan Bake Shop, 309 N. Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792
General: The dishwasher / cleaner works with the rest of the back of house team to ensure everyone has the tools and spaces needed to safely produce what we need on a daily basis.
Reports to: Management, Operators
Pay: starting at $15/hr, time and a half overtime
Hours: Full Time
Tuesday – Saturday
08:00 am – 4:00 pm regularly, hours can be adjusted due to daily demands and personal needs
Duties and Responsibilities
· To communicate daily needs to the necessary team members
· To ensure dishes are thoroughly cleaned on a daily basis
· To maintain a clean and well-organized station
· To collaborate with other back of house staff in order to ensure trays, utensils, buckets and bowls are clean and ready for use
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure the bakery is well cleaned and anticipating needs
· Assist the back of house team by deep cleaning stations after work is completed
· Ensuring bathrooms and common spaces are cleaned and stocked on a regular basis
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
· Must be able to clearly communicate and collaborate with other team members.
· Must be able to safely and effectively operate kitchen equipment. Including but not limited to: knives, dishwashers, hot plates, bread slicer, and sheeters.
· Must be able to think critically and adjust in a dynamic work environment.
· Must be able to work while standing for an extended amount of time
· Must be able to accept feedback and adjust work accordingly.
· Past experience in a kitchen or bakery is preferred, but not required.
