What are the responsibilities and job description for the AV & Digital Signage Deployment Manager position at McFaddin Marketing?
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are a service and solutions provider specializing in restaurant construction and technology, and our AV and digital signage business is growing fast. We're hiring a Deployment Manager who owns projects from site survey to go-live. Not someone who schedules meetings about installations, but someone who makes installations happen.
This is a hands-on field and operations role covering the full range of restaurant technology: digital menu boards, drive-thru displays, audio systems, TVs and video walls, and the network and control infrastructure behind them. You'll manage deployments across a growing portfolio of client locations: staging hardware, coordinating installs, troubleshooting in real time, and making sure every site goes live on schedule and on spec.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own AV and digital signage deployments end-to-end: site survey, hardware staging, installation coordination, testing, and go-live
• Stage and configure media players, commercial displays, audio equipment, and related hardware before it ships to site
• Coordinate install days with field technicians, general contractors, and restaurant operators, and step in on-site when needed
• Troubleshoot hardware, audio, video, content, and connectivity issues in real time, including under deadline pressure
• Manage multiple concurrent deployments without dropping details
• Maintain deployment documentation, site records, and punch lists
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during active rollouts
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
• Hands-on experience deploying digital signage, menu boards, commercial AV, POS systems, or comparable technology in the field. You've personally commissioned hardware on-site
• The ability to walk us through a rollout you ran end-to-end, including what went wrong and how you fixed it
• Comfort working inside restaurants under construction, not just conference rooms
• Strong organizational skills across multiple active projects and job sites
• A troubleshooting mindset: when something breaks at 4 PM on a Friday, you're the one who solves it
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as deployments require
NICE TO HAVE
• Experience with BrightSign or similar commercial media players
• Familiarity with structured cabling, display mounting, audio distribution, or low-voltage work
• Experience with drive-thru systems, video walls, or restaurant audio
• Experience working with national or multi-site restaurant brands
• Background in restaurant operations or restaurant construction
TO APPLY
Please submit your resume along with answers to these four questions:
1. Describe one deployment or installation you personally ran from start to finish. What was the scope, and what was your specific role on-site?
2. Tell us about a time something broke during an install. Hardware, content, audio, network, anything. What was it, and exactly what did you do?
3. What media players, displays, audio equipment, or signage hardware have you personally configured? Please include brands and models.
4. Have you worked inside an active construction site? Describe the situation.
