Paralegal – Estate Planning

Part-Time (30 hours/week)
MCF Legal, PLLC is a boutique estate planning law firm focused on providing thoughtful, high-touch planning services for individuals and families. We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive paralegal who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in producing precise, organized work.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys estate planning, trust administration, and client-focused legal work and who is comfortable taking initiative while supporting a fast-paced practice.
Position Details
• Schedule: 4 days per week (approximately 30 hours); Hybrid flexibility may be considered.
• Location: Lexington, Kentucky area
• Compensation: Competitive based on experience
Responsibilities
The paralegal will assist with all aspects of estate planning client service and document preparation, including:
Client & File Management
• Maintain organized client files and matter workflows
• Coordinate client communications and scheduling
• Track deadlines and planning implementation tasks
• Assist with intake and client information gathering
Estate Planning Document Preparation
• Assist with drafting and formatting estate planning documents including:
o Revocable trusts
o Irrevocable trusts
o Wills
o Powers of attorney
o Deeds and funding documents
• Prepare client binders and electronic document deliverables
• Assist with execution ceremonies and document notarization when needed
Funding & Implementation
• Prepare trust funding letters and asset transfer documentation
• Assist with real estate transfers and deed preparation
• Coordinate beneficiary designation updates
Administrative Support
• Manage document organization and templates within practice software
• Maintain internal workflow checklists and systems
• Assist with light administrative coordination related to client matters

Preferred Qualifications
• Paralegal certification or relevant legal experience
• Strong document formatting skills
• Experience with legal practice software or case management systems – Microsoft / LEAP / WealthCounsel
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
