Description
The Gold Bar Mine is located 35 miles northwest of Eureka, Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1988 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. McEwen Mining Inc. acquired the property and began active exploration in 2011. The McEwen Gold Bar Mine consists of an open pit mining operation delivering ore to a crushed heap leach with solution being processed through an ADR plant and Refinery.
Job Description/Core Responsibilities
The Process Operations Shift Supervisor will report to the Process Operations Superintendent.
- Ensures safety is the number one priority.
- Establish high performance targets and lead the team towards effectively, safely, and consistently achieving them. Communicate clear roles and responsibilities to all team members
- Communicate clear performance expectations and measures to the team and conduct annual performance reviews to effectively measure performance against expectations
- Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to direct reports Identify, prioritize, and communicate training requirements and follow up on its completion.
- Approves crew timecard
Operational Planning
- Provide operationallevel input into the daily plans for the crusher.
- Provide input into maintenance activities and plans for the crusher.
- Plan and communicate a daily crew work meeting.
- Supervise the execution of the production plan to achieve established production targets.
- Implement and monitor daily and weekly crew schedules.
- Perform daily equipment walk around, work area inspections, and inspections to minimize and correct safety hazards, ensure that equipment is properly maintained.
- Operate machinery as required in a safe manner.
- Close all completed work orders when the job is completed, including completion comments.
- Monitor and report back on the execution of maintenance activities for the operating systems.
- Monitor and report back on the progress of scheduled projects.
- Maintain a clean work environment free of hazards and submit work requests to assist with maintenance personnel as needed.

Qualifications
- 39 years of experience in a mining or similar operational environment is preferred
- Experience in other phases of gold ore processing preferred
- Demonstrated ability to be selfdirected and work with minimum supervision required.
- Ability to stay alert and recognize possible hazardous conditions required
- Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required
- Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fastpaced environment.
- Valid Driver's License required.
Working Conditions
- Climbing Ladders/Stairs, walking over uneven ground, long periods of standing
- Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion bending, stooping, kneeling.
- PPE required; respirators may be worn to perform specific tasks.
- Exposure to noise and dust
- Prolonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dust), works at elevations more than six thousand feet and above.
