McElroy Manufacturing is hiring a skilled Precision Grinder to join our manufacturing team at our Fulton campus. What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate precision grinding machines, including surface, OD/ID, magnetic chuck, CNC, and crush grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, job packets, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Select and dress appropriate grinding wheels for each project.
- Inspect finished parts to confirm tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.
- Maintain and perform light repairs on grinding equipment to keep everything running smoothly.
- Collaborate with teammates and engineers to solve problems and improve processes.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of experience in precision grinding or high-tolerance machining.
- Familiarity with grinding machines, tooling, and materials.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Excellent attention to detail — you take pride in producing top-quality work.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety.
