Lead Carpenter – Residential & Commercial Remodeling
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Lead Carpenter to oversee and perform all aspects of residential and commercial remodeling projects. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with strong carpentry skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Must be able to work solo and/or with laborers.
Responsibilities
- Lead remodeling projects from start to finish.
- Supervise and work alongside crew members and subcontractors.
- Perform all phases of carpentry, including framing, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, drywall, and finish work. Plumbing and electrical experience a plus.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with homeowners, commercial clients, and project managers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Train and mentor less experienced carpenters.
Qualifications
- 5 years of residential and/or commercial carpentry experience.
- Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of remodeling practices and building codes.
- Ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
- Own basic hand tools (preferred).
