Valve Technician — Industrial Process Controls & Relief Valves

As a Valve Technician, you'll maintain, repair, and test safety relief valves, control valves, tank vents, and related process equipment with the kind of precision and quality that keeps critical systems running and keeps our VR-certified reputation intact.

What You'll Do

Valve Service & Repair

• Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of industrial valves including safety relief valves, control valves, tank vents, and related process control equipment.
• Clean, blast, and paint valve components to prepare for service and final inspection.
• Perform re-machining or lapping of critical valve parts to manufacturer specifications.
• Operate shop equipment including blasters, parts washers, torches, forklifts, and related tools safely and efficiently.
  
  

Quality & Documentation

• Follow all safety and quality procedures, our VR certification and our customers' safety depend on it.
• Read and use precision measuring devices accurately throughout inspection and repair work.
• Document and enter job data accurately into shop records to maintain complete, reliable service histories.
  
  

Field Support

• Perform field service work at customer sites in the Gulf Coast region as needed getting equipment back online fast.
  
  

Qualifications

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in a shop or industrial environment.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• Solid documentation skills accurate, on-time job data entry matters in this work.
• Problem-solving mindset able to diagnose issues and work through them methodically.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a shop environment (climbing, standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, stooping).
  
  

Nice To Have (we'll Train The Right Person)

• Prior experience servicing valves, pumps, or process control equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or refining environments.
• Familiarity with safety relief valves, control valves, regulators, or related industrial equipment.
• Forklift certification or experience operating shop equipment.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training or vocational certification a plus.
