Job Summary:
As an Emissions Inspector, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles comply with Georgia's emissions requirements. This position offers a great opportunity for growth, with starting pay of $12 per hour, plus tips.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform vehicle emissions inspections using certified testing equipment.
- Accurately record and analyze inspection results, providing recommendations for vehicles that do not meet standards.
- Communicate inspection results to vehicle owners, answering any questions or concerns they may have.
- Stay informed on Georgia emissions regulations and keep your certification up to date.
- Perform minor equipment maintenance to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Certification as an Emissions Inspector (or ability to obtain one with company support).
- Previous experience in automotive service or inspections is a plus, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and technical skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Physical Consideration:
- While on the job, employees must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Requires use of hands to perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling and turning
