- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Greet customers warmly, answer questions, and assist with product demos when needed
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, restocking supplies as necessary
- Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance sales opportunities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
- Assist in inventory management through stock checks and merchandising adjustments
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is advantageous
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customers effectively
