Job Summary:
The Operations Technology Professional (OTP) provides technical support and operational oversight for restaurant technology systems. This role supports the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and configuration of point-of-sale (POS) and related equipment through both on-site and remote support. The OTP also plays a key role in maintaining system reliability, supporting team development, and ensuring adherence to organizational technology standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for POS systems and related restaurant technology.
- Assist with phone-based support, planned maintenance activities, and training support for operational technology.
- Utilize diagnostic and remote support tools to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
System Deployment & Configuration
- Reimage, replace, and configure restaurant technology hardware including registers, controllers, time clocks, back-office systems, and other operational devices.
- Install and support technology components such as kitchen display system controllers and other integrated systems.
- Perform configuration updates and system adjustments using approved technology management tools.
Tools & System Management
- Use remote management and troubleshooting tools to identify and resolve system issues.
- Create and manage system imaging resources and flash drives for device deployment.
- Perform diagnostics and recovery procedures for payment devices and related hardware when necessary.
Operational Compliance & Communication
- Follow established security practices and maintain confidentiality of system credentials and access.
- Remain active within program portals and communication platforms.
- Review updates, documentation, and program communications regularly to stay current with technology changes and best practices.
Team Development & Collaboration
- Support the development and guidance of other operations technology team members.
- Delegate and coordinate tasks related to technology preparation, installation, and maintenance.
- Participate in team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
Program Participation & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and support monthly technology priorities and operational initiatives.
- Provide feedback to improve documentation and internal knowledge resources.
- Participate in training sessions, office hours, and information-sharing forums to maintain technical proficiency.
Maintenance & Equipment Support
- Assist with relocation and setup of POS equipment as needed.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance of technology peripherals and related equipment.
Pay & Benefits
- Pay Range 18.50 - 24.00 based on experience
