Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items following established recipes and safety standards to ensure quality and consistency.
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry, payments, and cash handling with accuracy.
- Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all areas including dining spaces, kitchen stations, and food handling zones.
- Assist with food safety practices such as proper food storage, temperature checks, and hygiene protocols.
- Support quick service operations by bussing tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth flow during busy hours.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while practicing basic math skills for accurate change and sales reporting.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards within the food industry.
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is beneficial.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and good communication abilities.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing time efficiently.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and inventory management.
- Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and working in a restaurant or café environment is preferred but not required.
