Job Description
*Bilingual in French required*
GBS Finance – North America records and reports on real estate transactions for over 2,000 franchisees and more than 15,000 restaurants in the U.S. and Canada. We are responsible for the calculation and billing of rents and service fees to franchisees and tenants, all lease related and real estate tax payment and accounting activities, and construction project and fixed asset accounting processes.
Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the franchise & McOpCo leases and maintaining accounts receivable for a designated region in Canada.
Specific Tasks includes but are not limited to:
- Setting rents for new restaurants, rebuilds, rewrites, and changes in ownership.
- Reviewing leases for designated locations ensuring the proper base rent, and sales-based rent are processed monthly according to the lease.
- Investigate and resolve billing inquiries from franchisees, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining positive relationships.
- Reconciling accounts receivable and other assigned general ledger accounts.
- Month End close responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in French required
- Associates degree in Accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience in accounting or related field
- 2 years of experience analyzing data
- 2 years of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask with tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Customer Service Orientation
- Flexibility for a changing environment
- Continuous Improvement Mindset
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
