What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Automotive Service Advisor position at McDonald GMC Cadillac?
We are looking for a high-performing, experienced Service Advisor to join our Chevrolet/Buick dealership in Marlette, Michigan.
This is NOT an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who understands the service drive, knows how to manage technicians and customers, and can drive gross profit while delivering exceptional customer experience.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years experience as an Automotive Service Advisor
- Strong understanding of:
- RO write-up process
- Menu selling
- Maintenance scheduling
- Technician dispatching & workflow
- Effective Labor Rate (ELR) and gross profit management
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills
- Strong CSI focus
- DealerBuilt (DB) experience is a strong plus
Responsibilities:
- Greet customers promptly and professionally
- Write and manage repair orders accurately
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly and confidently
- Maximize customer pay gross while maintaining trust
- Manage technician productivity and workflow
- Follow up with customers on declined services
- Maintain strong CSI scores
