The Equip Mechanic Helper 1-3 is an entry-level position responsible for providing fundamental support to skilled Journeymen and Leadpersons. This role focuses on learning basic maintenance and repair procedures, material handling, and adherence to site safety practices.

- Up to 1 year of related experience preferred, but not required.
- Physical ability to lift moderate loads, stand for extended periods, and perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment.
- Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
- Prior experience on a heavy industrial site.
- Achieving an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety certification.
Basic familiarity with heavy equipment proximity and spotter procedures

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Assist journey-level mechanics with basic tasks such as fetching and organizing tools, cleaning parts, and holding components during repairs
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the immediate work area, tools, and equipment.
- Load, transport, and organize materials, parts, and specialized consumables as directed
- Observe and learn proper safety procedures, tool usage, and maintenance techniques for hand and power tools.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols under direct supervision.
