JOB DESCRIPTION
The Pipefitter Foreman is responsible for the overall supervision, coordination, and safety of multiple Pipefitter crews. This role manages the entire piping fabrication and installation scope for a major project area, focusing on long-range planning, scheduling, and integrated craft performance.
Responsibilities
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the daily and weekly work plans for all assigned Pipefitter crews and Leadpersons
- Collaborate with the Weld Foreman, Construction Management, and QC teams to ensure the piping schedule is met and quality standards are maintained
- Manage and track the cost and budget of the pipefitting scope, including labor hours, material usage, and specialized equipment
- Ensure all installed piping complies with the highest safety, quality, and regulatory standards, serving as the final authority on fit-up integrity in the field
- Serve as the primary liaison between the pipefitting craft and the overall construction management team
Essential Qualifications and Education
- Minimum 8 years of industrial construction/maintenance industry experience
- NCCER Certification required
- Must successfully pass applicable written and practical craft test as part of the selection process.
- Expert knowledge of all phases of industrial pipefitting, fabrication, and installation
- Proven expertise in project planning, scheduling, and resource management for a large piping workforce
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related technical field
- Experience managing multi-craft teams in the mechanical and piping phase of project construction
