Job Description:

Position: Athletics Video/Content Creation Staff (Communications)
Revision Date: 7/2017
Reports to: Lucas DuMars
Department: Athletics
Salary Grade: Tier I
FSLA Status: Non-exempt
Location of Position: Merritt Fitness Center, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157
Duration of Appointment: Academic School Year
Scope: Operate cameras and/or serve as "producer/director" for webcasting of various athletics events.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a camera operator for webcasting production of intercollegiate athletics contests
- Serve as director and/or producer of webcast, as necessary
- Setup and breakdown all equipment related to webcast as instructed
- Assist with compilation of highlight film
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate at McDaniel College
- Eligible for work study through Financial Aid package
- Ability to operate a video camera
- Ability to follow explicit directions
- Interest and/or knowledge of sports and/or television production is helpful
Physical Characteristics:
- Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required, including in setup and breakdown of equipment
- Ability to stand in one location for up to two hours
- Events may be held in adverse weather conditions
