Job Description:
Job Title: Programming Assistant
Effective Date: 03/02/2026
Reports to: Operations & Program Assistant
Department: Office of Student Engagement
Rate of Pay: Maryland Minimum Wage
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Location of Position: Roj Student Center, McDaniel College, 2 College Hill, Westminster, MD 21157
Duration of Appointment: 08/06/2025 - 05/20/2026
Schedule: Schedule is at discretion of supervisor
Evaluation Procedures: Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.
Scope: Provide programming and support for office programs and rec lounge coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Have and maintain a good disciplinary record at McDaniel College (i.e. not on disciplinary probation as of the start of or during the course of employment)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to creating and supporting an inclusive campus community
- Must be able to work a minimum of 4 hours per week

Qualifications:
- Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College.
- Provide excellent customer service to anyone who visits the Office of Student Engagement.
- Maintain a positive atmosphere for anyone who visits the Office of Student Engagement.
- Communicate with supervisor and colleagues on a regular/consistent basis
- Good punctuality and attendance
- Keep spaces neat and organized
- Keep up with on campus events and activities
- Attend any training sessions provided by OSE
- Timely responses to staff e-mails
- Join GroupMe messaging service to ensure time response to coverage request.
- Other duties as assigned
