What are the responsibilities and job description for the Install Foreman - Residential Landscape Construction position at McCullough’s Landscape & Nursery?
Responsibilities:
These are the daily responsibilities of the foreman:
- Manage with a core team of 2-3 members on client installation projects with scope of work ranging from 1 week to a few months.
- Work with Install Manager on creating the tasks for the day/project.
- Communicate with Garden Designer and homeowners to provide insight to the job status and notify of possible future issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work site.
- Install natural stone hardscape materials such as bluestone, limestone, gravel and similar materials. Understanding of proper site prep, base material and stone laying. Installation projects use pavers/manufactured stone infrequently.
- Plant trees, shrubs, sod and perennial plantings.
- Installation of metal edging on site.
- Operation of small and medium duty equipment.
- Correcting and installing drainage on property.
- Setting up grades for paving, beds and lawn area
- Occasional assisting with irrigation installation and low voltage lighting installation.
- Ability to communicate with garden designer on reading and implementing design plans and construction drawings.
- Mindful of tracking of hours, materials and completion of the job based on the scope of the work to be completed on day-to-day basis. Tracking of overall project is the responsibility of the supervisor.
- Seasonal Snow Removal.
- Responsibilities DO NOT INCLUDE mowing, applying fertilizers/pesticides or sales of services.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
