As an Optician in our private, well-established practice, you will combine your technical knowledge with compassionate customer service to ensure our patients receive personalized optical care and quality eyewear solutions. Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear by assessing their needs, preferences, and lifestyle requirements
- Take precise measurements of patients’ eyes, including pupillary distance and frame fitting, using specialized optical equipment
- Provide expert guidance on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to ensure the perfect fit for prescription, comfort and lifestyle
- Maintain accurate medical records, including documenting patient interactions and prescriptions in practice management (EPM) systems such as Eyefinity Encompass.
- Dispensing and performing adjustments/repairs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient information during all interactions and recordkeeping
- Manage retail sales processes efficiently, including inventory management, retail math calculations, and processing payments for eyewear products
Skills
- Strong knowledge of optometry principles, anatomy of the eye, and medical terminology related to vision care
- Experience working with optical tools for lens fitting and frame adjustments
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures relevant to optical services
- Proficiency in using EPM systems for documentation and scheduling
- Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly to patients of all ages
- Retail sales experience to promote eyewear products confidently

Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
