About the Role
As the Manager of Med-Surg and Telemetry, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring the highest standards of patient care, operational excellence, and team performance across the Med-Surg and Telemetry units. Essential Job Duties
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of patient care and documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and function effectively in a high-volume patient environment
- Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Utilize strong computer skills and a solid understanding of English grammar and punctuation
- Apply mathematical skills to calculate proportions, percentages, BSA, circumference, and volume
- Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Requirements
- Two (2) years of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry department-specific experience required
- Charge nurse or supervisory experience in the department preferred
Minimum Essential Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field required
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field preferred
Required Licensure / Certifications
- Registered Nurse with current California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Basic EKG/tele interpretation experience required or completion of a Basic EKG class within six months of employment
