Job Description: We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Occupational Health and Safety Consultant to assess, plan, and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of OSHA standards, communication skills, and a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, and prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Collaborate with management, employees, and external agencies to promote and improve safety standards.
- Lead training in various safety and health topics.
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Health, or a related field experience is preferred or equivalent.
- OSHA 30-hour courses in either General Industry or Construction or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
