Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Coffee Roaster to join our team. As a Coffee Roaster, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining roasting equipment to produce high-quality roasted coffee beans. You will work closely with the production team to ensure that each batch meets our strict quality standards and flavor profiles. Your role will involve selecting green coffee beans, monitoring the roasting process, adjusting roasting parameters, and performing quality control checks. You will also be responsible for cleaning and maintaining roasting equipment, keeping detailed records of each roast, and collaborating with other team members to develop new blends and roasting techniques. The ideal candidate has a keen sense of taste and smell, a deep understanding of coffee origins and roasting methods, and a commitment to producing exceptional coffee. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. Previous experience in coffee roasting or a related field is highly desirable, but we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn and grow in the specialty coffee industry. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in coffee roasting or related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent sensory skills for tasting and smelling coffee.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for operating equipment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy bags of coffee beans.
