We are seeking a compassionate, motivated individual to join our team. McCrery & Harra Funeral Homes and Crematory is a family-owned business that has served the greater Wilmington, Delaware (Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Maryland) area for over a century.
An ideal applicant would be a funeral director who has a positive attitude and works well in team-based setting. The candidate we are seeking would be engaged in all aspects of funeral service from meeting with client families to doing preparation work. We have a night on-call staff during the week to provide our directors a good work-life balance, and a full time office staff to minimize administration responsibilities.
Qualifications:
- Active Funeral Director License in the State of Delaware required, or the ability to obtain one.
- 1 year experience in funeral service is preferred.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Good communicationand multitasking skills.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and be on-call as needed.
- Team-based mindset and can-do attitude.
- Crematory operator certificate a plus
