The position for the Mill Shop Foreman is for a Commercial/Residential Millwork Company located in Orlando, Florida. The company specializes in commercial millwork for the Hospitality, Office, and Retirement business.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: ̈ Must be proficient in the manufacturing and installation of all types of millwork. ̈ Supervises all manufacturing and installation. ̈ Planning and organizing production schedules. ̈ Assessing project and resource requirements. ̈ Determines Quality Control Standards. ̈ Oversees production processes. ̈ Selecting, Ordering, and Purchases materials ̈ Organizing the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment. ̈ Supervises shop staff. ̈ Training Staff. ̈ Manage job site safety. ̈ Maintain proper inventory levels. ̈ Keeps yard, mill and warehouse clean and orderly at all times. Checks all fire extinguishers for proper location and condition. Locks mill, shop and warehouse when leaving and cuts off all power to mill and shop. Responsible for care and cleanliness of trucks. ̈ Performs weekly tool inventory to all jobs updating tool list the following day. ̈ Hold weekly shop meetings to go over schedule, safety, and job performance. ̈ Purchases for projects as authorized by Project Manager. All tool and equipment purchase, and repairs authorized by Mill Shop Division Manager ̈ Any other duties that may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:Manage all employees of the mill shop.Qualifications:To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Mill Shop Production Supervisor may not, without express permission from the Mill Shop Division Manager, contract for any services for the Company or divulge any information of a confidential nature to the Company or of any employee of the company.Technical Requirements:Computer literate, utilizing assigned McCree software efficiently.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:OSHA 10 Hour Certification, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA Forklift Training is a plus.Physical Demands:The physical demands of this position are significant.
