Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Upholstery Prep & Set Up Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing upholstery materials and components, interpreting technical drawings, and setting up equipment to ensure production processes. Your expertise will contribute to creating high-quality upholstered products by meticulously handling fabric materials, woodwork, and various tools. Responsibilities
- Unload frame trucks.
- Put cover and foam in appropriate frame by styles.
- Pushes frames to the set-up area for Upholstery.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Excellent problem solving.
- Excellent attendance.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Upholstering techniques, fabric materials, and upholstery maintenance
- Skilled in manual handling, heavy lifting, and safe use of hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and sewing machines
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately for manufacturing purposes
- Experience with woodworking for frame assembly and structural support components
- Knowledge of fabric materials, sewing techniques, and upholstery assembly processes
- Familiarity with interpreting blueprint specifications and technical instructions for manufacturing tasks
