Position Summary
The Head Custodian Trainer is responsible for training and supporting both new and current custodial employees throughout the district. This position focuses on teaching proper cleaning techniques, floor care procedures, equipment operation, and product knowledge to ensure custodial staff are equipped with the skills and resources needed to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Training and Development

Train newly hired custodians on district cleaning procedures and expectations.

Provide ongoing training and skill development opportunities for current custodial staff.

Demonstrate proper cleaning techniques for classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, offices, gyms, and other school spaces.

Provide hands-on instruction in floor care, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and carpet maintenance.

Train employees on the proper use, care, and maintenance of custodial equipment.

Educate staff on cleaning products, their intended uses, dilution rates, and application methods.

Assist custodians in developing efficient cleaning routines and work practices.

Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to custodial staff
