What are the responsibilities and job description for the MCHS Football Varsity Level 2 Assistant Coach position at McCracken County Public Schools?
BASIC FUNCTION:
Sponsor in various school extra-curricular programs.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Promote extra-curricular programs in the schools and community.
- Plan the assigned extra-curricular program.
- Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
- Teach individual fundamental skills of the extra-curricular activity.
- Check eligibility of participants, including insurance coverage and parent consent.
- Provide students a proper role model, emotional support, patience, a friendly attitude and general guidance.
- Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health, safety, and welfare of participants.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Fundamentals of various extra-curricular activities.
- Health and safety regulations. Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy.
ABILITY TO:
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion a criminal records check, current certification in first aid and CPR.
