Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Implement physical therapy treatments including manual therapy, trigger point therapy, and therapeutic exercises to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
- Conduct clinical assessments and document patient progress accurately in accordance with clinical documentation standards and medical documentation protocols.
- Operate and maintain medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with healthcare professionals such as nurses, physicians, and caregivers to coordinate care plans and discharge strategies.
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) management to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate seamless communication.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their families to explain treatment procedures, progress, and discharge planning processes.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
- Prior experience in skilled nursing facilities or inpatient settings is highly preferred; experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, outpatient clinics, or acute care is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, orthopedics, and physiotherapy techniques.
- Proficiency in clinical assessment documentation, medical documentation standards, and electronic health records (EHR) management systems.
- Ability to operate medical equipment related to physical therapy treatments effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for caregiver interaction and client engagement.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop comprehensive care plans.
- Inpatient experience or skilled nursing facility experience is preferred; familiarity with discharge planning processes is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 – 24.0 per week
