What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at McCoy Group Services, LLC?
We are looking for a certified, qualified Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. We need someone dependable, experienced, and able to work independently on a variety of heavy equipment and mechanical repairs.
This is a hands-on position for an all-around mechanic who knows their way around heavy equipment and isn't afraid to get the job done.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment
- Work on excavators and other construction equipment
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical repairs
- Change and repair tires, rims, and wheels
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues
- Perform field repairs and service work
- Welding and fabrication as needed
- Keep equipment running safely and efficiently
- Help with general mechanical repairs as needed

- Equipment and supplies needed for field repairs
Qualifications
- Certified and/or qualified heavy equipment mechanic
- Previous experience working on heavy equipment required
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with excavators and construction equipment
- Able to change tires and rims
- Welding experience is a plus
- Dependable, hardworking, and safety-minded
- Able to work independently and take initiative
