Position Summary:
We are seeking attentive and safety-focused Flaggers to support job site operations. This role is responsible for guiding equipment during operation and maintaining clear communication with operators to ensure safe and efficient movement of machinery and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide heavy equipment and vehicle movement on-site using hand signals and/or communication devices
- Maintain constant communication with equipment operators to ensure safe operations
- Monitor surroundings to identify and prevent potential hazards
- Control and direct site traffic as needed to maintain safety
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety regulations and company policies
- Assist with general site tasks when flagging duties are not required
- Report unsafe conditions or incidents to supervisors immediately
Qualifications:
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Previous flagging or construction site experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to give clear signals
- High level of awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
- Valid flagger certification preferred
- Okay with working on outdoor construction sites with exposure to traffic, heavy equipment, and varying weather conditions
